Kevin O’Brien truly knows what he is talking about. It's proof from everything he demonstrates to how he personally trains himself in the gym.  Thanks to Kevin and his intense and precise training methods, in 6 weeks alone I have gained 10 pounds of solid muscle and at the same time lost a significant amount of body fat.

Like most young athletes, I began training the wrong way with a bodybuilding mentality.  I approached Kevin one day and asked him for a tip on a certain exercise he was doing, which turned into ten tips, which turned into him training me for the last two months. The last eight weeks training with Kevin have been more productive then the last 4 years I have spent going to the gym, and the last 14 years I have spent training for sports.

After recovering from ankle surgery the past few months, I needed a way to get back into training for lacrosse.  I was doing a program that my college gave me, but I found it to be boring and repetitive.  Then I met Kevin at my gym and I will say that I have not been bored with my workouts since.  Every day is different, and since Kevin has been training me, I have noticed on the lacrosse field that I am faster and more explosive in my movements. Also, I have put on more muscle and I have noticed an overall decrease in body fat. 

Kevin really grasps and understands the concepts of what it takes to become stronger and faster.  He is always excited and more than willing to give help to those aspiring to improve.  As a final note, I want to say that while I have been lifting for about 6 years, I have never met someone with the amount of knowledge or enthusiasm that Kevin has.

I’ve always trained like an animal in the gym... but under Kevin’s watch I’ve become a BEAST.  Playing four years of Division 1 lacrosse at two top 20 schools, I’ve trained under five different strength and conditioning coaches.  During these four years, none of them presented a complete program to get me stronger and more explosive off the field and playing at my highest level on the field. 

After training with Kevin for a few short months and continuing his workouts while at school, I’m now bigger, stronger, and more explosive than ever, and can feel the difference on the field. Like most athletes, I made my workouts based on bodybuilding magazines mixed with the programs my strength coaches designed for the team.  I was training hard but not getting STRONGER.  With Kevin’s guidance I’m finally training SMART and harder than ever and seeing even better results while not wasting time on bodybuilding workouts that DON'T pay off on the field.  My only regret is not training under Kevin sooner in my athletic career.

I recommend Kevin to all athletes that are serious at playing their sport at the highest level possible.  Kevin’s experience and knowledge are second to none, not to mention he’s one of the strongest guys I know.  I can’t wait to continue training under Kevin whose enthusiasm for his athletes is infectious.

Kevin, I want to take a minute and thank you for all you have taught me over the years when it comes to training. Thanks to you I have accomplished the following:

  • I have competed in several bodybuilding shows and placed extremely well.
  • I have been sponsored by (2) supplement companies and have been in a number of bodybuilding magazines.
Without the knowledge you have passed on to me, I don't think I would have accomplished these dreams of mine in this great sport.  Even to this day I still remember every time I stepped into the gym and how we trained so intense, but smart. The Gambrills Outlaws wanted to thank you for the helping us improve our team. The players were a little nervous going in, not knowing what to expect from the "Irish Warrior". But your thoughtful teaching approach put them at ease right away. Starting with the basic building block approach, helping young players learn the correct way was very effective. You could tell they learned a great deal and had fun while being challenged along the way.

The last training session they were asked to choose between sprints and ladders - they all screamed Sprints. Gotta love a group of kids yelling to do sprints, all with a big smile on their faces. Thanks and we look forward to working with you again.
